H.E. Professor Hassan Diab visited Zanzibar, Tanzania in Africa for Exploratory Talks
H.E. Professor Hassan Diab visited Zanzibar during middle to end of October 2018 and met with the President, H.E. Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein and the Minister of Information, Tourism and Heritage, H.E. Mahmoud Thabet Kombo.
H.E. Prof. Diab, being a member of the Assembly Council of THE GHCF GLOBAL UNION-ICDO and Director of its Department of Global Research and Development Affairs, Vice-President for Regional External Programs at the American University of Beirut (AUB), explored and discussed potential cooperation between the government of Zanzibar, THE GHCF GLOBAL UNION, and AUB on preventative issues on foreign affairs, related to civil defence, civil protection-security, man-made and/or natural disasters, humanitarian aid, education and innovation.
A new humanitarian essentials certificate is intended for personnel in the public sector & NGOs. This humanitarian aid education programs and certificate in the provision of professional education will be implemented by AUB.
These exploratory talks, conducted under the Patronage of the THE GLOBAL HOUMARD & CO. FOUNDATION, will pursue in a follow up meeting with H.E. H. Diab and the President H.E. F. Houmard of THE GHCF GLOBAL UNION, with President H.E. Shein and Minister H.E. Kombo of Zanzibar. The declared objective of these continuing exploratory talks is to finalize the specifics of this cooperation and to elect Zanzibar as a Member State of the THE GHCF GLOBAL UNION.
